Army provides shelter to a rehabilitated former LTTE combatant
Under the patronage of the Sri Lanka Army, Former LTTE combatant, Mr. Balasundaram Sudarshan received a newly constructed house in Nedunkarni area yesterday (16th Thursday, April 2015). Several Philanthropists funded the noble cause and in the meantime Sri Lanka Army extended the Civil Engineering expertise with its labour to erect the house.
Mr. Sudarshan who was initially residing in a squatter with his children was immensely benefited with the initiative.
Commander Security Forces Headquarters - Wanni, Major General Boniface Perera implementing regional social welfare oriented network launched the constructions. In addition, two residents in the area also received artificial limbs at the housewarming ceremony.
Senior Army officers, state officials and their relatives were present at the event.
