Commonwealth Business Forum begins today

The Commonwealth Business Forum (CBF) will be ceremonially opened at 9 a.m. today at the Cinnamon Grand Hotel, Colombo with the participation of President Mahinda Rajapaksa, marking the third day of the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM).
The ceremony will be held until 10.30 a.m. and the CBF will take place from today to November 14 in conjunction with the CHOGM. The CBF is the premier business event in the Commonwealth bringing together Heads of Government, ministers and top business leaders from around the world.
The CBF will be attended by over 1,000 delegates. It will provide a valuable opportunity for dialogue on trade and investment between business and government leaders from the Commonwealth.
The Commonwealth Ministerial Meeting on Small States will be held today from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Hilton Hotel. Meanwhile, the Committee of the Whole, the Meeting for the Senior Officials will continue at the Committee Room B of the Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall from 8.30 a.m. to noon and 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
A lunch for the Commonwealth Small States' Foreign Ministers will be hosted by External Affairs Minister Prof. G.L. Peiris at the Hilton Hotel while a reception and a dinner will be hosted by President Mahinda Rajapaksa for the CBF delegates.
