No room for terrorism to re-emerge - Defence Secretary
Defence Secretary Gotabaya Rajapaksa has emphasized that they will leave no room for the liberated country to be betrayed or for terrorism to raise its head again.
The Defence Secretary recalled that TNA Parliamentarians told in Parliament that they recognized Eelam and their leader was Prabhakaran. The victory after three years was achieved encountering various difficulties after three years. As such Mr Rajapaksa said they cannot betray this victory. He emphasized that no room can be left for terrorism to raise its head.
The Defence Secretary commented on this addressing a public meeting organized in Dompe.
Members of the Maha Sangha including the Ven. Uduwe Dhammaloka thera, Director General of the Media Centre for National Security Lakshman Hulgalle, veteran scholar J.R.P. Suriyapperuma and Gampaha District Freedom Alliance candidates were present.
