Boston bomb attacks: President condoles with Obama

President Mahinda Rajapaksa in a message to US President Barack Obama yesterday, condemned the Boston bomb attacks while conveying his condolences over the loss of life, Presidential Spokesman Mohan Samaranayake said.
The President also mentioned that Minister Jeyaraj Fernandopulle and several others were killed in a bomb attack some time back, while getting ready to start a marathon.
He noted that Sri Lankan’s fully understand the brutality of such acts and the pain it causes.
According to Samaranayake, in the same message, the President had called all world leaders to get together against the scourge of terrorism. President Rajapaksa also called the bombing an act of cowardice.
