The remaining Ex-LTTE combatants who are currently undergoing training will be on a peace tour from Welikanda to Kandy. The peace tour organized under the aegis of the Ministry of Rehabilitation and Prison Reforms Chandrasiri Gajadeera will take place on March 10, 11 and 12The tour starting from Senapura in elikanda today will end at Sri Dalada Maligawa.Sri Lanka's Ministry of Rehabilitation & Prison Reforms have successfully introduced and implemented a scheme for comprehensive rehabilitation and reintegration of Ex-LTTE combatants. According to the Government there were over 11000 Ex-LTTE combatants inclusive of around 600 soldiers who were captured or surrendered at the end of the war in 2009These cadres are given various types of vocational training including formal education. Sri Lanka has so far released over 10,000 ex-LTTE cadres to the civil society after rehabilitation.and the government recently introduced a self employment loan scheme upto Rs 250,000
