Police unearth largest ever C4 storage of LTTE
Based on an information received, the Police recovered the
largest ever High Explosives storage of LTTE, 6550 Kg of C4, together with many
other LTTE military hardware yesterday, (13th May).
The recoveries were made from the general area Putthukuddirippu
and Iranamadu.
According to the Police spokesperson, these explosives were
hidden safely in 50 Kg and 25 Kg bags.
122mm Mortar Shells, Hand Grenades, Pressure Mines, C4 Mark 1
Anti Personnel Mines etc. were among the other recoveries, the Police said.
