National Flag to be hoisted

Public Administration and Home Affairs Ministry Secretary D. Disanayake said that all government and public institutions arerequested to hoist the National flag during the Victory Week which is commemorated from May 14 to the 20th.
In addition, the Government expects all citizens to hoist the nationalflag at every home and private institutions as well to commemorate thevictory over separatist terrorism which was gained one year ago.Adding more he said that it’s essential to respect and honour thegallant security forces who sacrificed their lives to crush themurderous LTTE and gain victory for Sri Lanka.The Government reiterates that it’s the responsibility of all citizensof Sri Lanka to pay gratitude and honour the war heroes who ended thewar on terror so that everyone can live in peace without any fear.
