Sri Lanka is the best tourist destination in the world, now that a peaceful
atmosphere is prevailing everywhere. Therefore tourists can enjoy visiting any
Lankan locality said a British tourist, Silvia Godfrey who visited Sigiriya
recently.
She expressed these sentiments at Nagalawewa primary school where she
participated in the prize giving ceremony of the annual sports meet.
She said ‘this is my 7th visit to Sri Lanka. My first visit was in 1997. At
that time the country was wrapped in fear due to the ethnic conflict.
‘A peaceful atmosphere is everywhere and the people of this country are very
kind and hospitable, she said.
‘Therefore I suggest to western communities to visit Sri Lanka without any
fear,” Silvia said.
