More ex-LTTEers integrated into society

Another set of rehabilitated ex-LTTE cardres were handed over to their
parents and guardians at the Deyata Kirula premises yesterday by Rehabilitation
and Prison Reforms Minister Chandrasiri Gajadeera.
Forty ex-combatants who underwent a rehabilitation programme at
rehabilitation camps run by the Rehabilitation and Prison Reforms Ministry
entered normal life with the assistance of the government.
The government's intention was to make them understand national developments.
The minister said these youths are eyewitnesses to development since they
were handed over at the Deyata Kirula premises.
The youths will contribute to the development of the country utilizing the
lifeskills training they underwent, the minister noted.
He said on the advice of President Mahinda Rajapaksa, the government
allocated Rs 200 million for the rehabilitation programme for ex-LTTE cadres.
