Christmas gifts for resettled Kilinochchi people
A function was held by Security Forces Headquarters
(Kilinochchi) recently in Thunukkai GS division in view of the upcoming
Christmas celebrations.
200 resettled families of Shiwanagar and Ponnanagar were gifted
with dry ration packs in during the event. Each family received Rs 5000.00 worth
dry ration packs and in addition stationary packs worth Rs 7500.00 were gifted
to 90 students. Rev Father Vernan Perera presided over the event in association
with well-wishers of Kajuwaththa Church.
The people in area highly admired the the Christmas celebration
and peace building initiatives of the dedicated security forces personnel.
Religious dignitaries, senior forces officers, a large gathering
of villagers were present at the occasion.
