Navy conducts health camps

Continuing its community welfare projects, Navy conducted three segments of health camps in North-West covering Kayakkuli, Baththalangunduwa and Serakkuli areas under the patronage of the Commander North-Western Naval Area recently.
Along with the well organized health camps, over 463 civilians of the regional community were provided with medical facilities free of charge. Number of recipients of the treatments had been praised the Navy for their utmost commitment in social welfare oriented effort.
Under the government's reconciliation programme, security forces have been largely entrusted with such humanitarian assignments to assist the civilians of war affected areas.
Assuring the wellbeing of such people, Sate Pharmaceutical Corporation, Sanmed Pharmaceuticals Pvt. Ltd and Thriposha Lanka (Ltd) extended their supportive hands providing medicine and nutrition supplements free of charge.
