83 AP Mines uncovered in clearing operations
Security forces personnel continuing clearing operations in Vavuniya, Kilinochchi and Mullaittivu districts further and more Anti-Personnel (AP) mines laid by LTTE terrorists uncovered during those clearing operations conducted yesterday, 11th July, military report received from the Army Headquarters said.
In Vavuniya, eighty six AP mines were uncovered while conducting clearing operations in Mahilankulam, Parasnakulam, Periyathampanai and Irranaillupaikulam areas. Clearing operations were conducted by the troops of 56 and 61 Divisions.
In Kilinochchi, troops of Task Force 03 uncovered two 60mm mortar bombs while conducting claribf operation in general area Iranamadu, the report said.
In Mullaittivu, one hand grenade uncovered from general area Oddusudan in clearing operations conducted by 64 Division.
