Northern High Security Zones will not be removed - Minister Rambukwella
High Security Zones (HSZ) are essential to ensure the security in the region, hence will not be removed from the Northern Province, government spokesman said yesterday (15 July).
Addressing media, Minister Rambukwella said these HSZ were vital to win the war against terrorists and they are mandatory for the country's security.
The Minister further explained that, since the unavailability of states lands in strategic areas to establish HSZ in the North the government is forced to use private lands for the purpose.
