4th batch of ex-combatants receives Three-wheel and two wheel repair training
Under the program initiated by the Beuro of Commissioner General of Rehabilitation to provide vocational training for ex-LTTE combatants surrendered themselves to the security forces, the fourth batch of three-wheel and two wheel repair course was commenced at the Devid Peries Motor Company Training Complex in Bandaragama yesterday, 24th November.
The course is specially designed on mechanical based training to provide technical train rehabilitees as motor mechanics to start a new life once they reintegrated to the society.
The training will impart skills in three-wheel and two wheel repair for ten days under professionally qualified instructors and provide industrial training as well. On completion of ten day comprehensive theoretical and practical training sessions, each beneficiary will be given an internationally recognized certificate.
Earlier, during last three courses 90 ex-combatants received same training at the Devid Peries Motor Company.
Colonel General Staff of BCGR Colonel M.B De S Jayathilaka, representing the Devid Peries Motor Company Director (Service) Mr.Lester Carron, Divisional Manager (Service) Mr.Aruna Wickkramathilaka, Field Service Maneger Mr.Lakshith Peries, Service Engineer Mr.Mahesh Dharmajith were present at the occasion.
