The couple arrested by the Terrorist Investigation Department (TID) earlier, had fallen in love while being held at the Boossa Camp.

Sudharshan who had been earlier released from the rehabilitation camp and reintegrated with society, visited the Punthotam Rehabilitation Camp where Priyadharshani was undergoing rehabilitation and informed officers about his desire to marry her.

The officers had later spoken to the two of them and arranged their wedding with the help of philanthropists.

Sudharshan's parents too attended the wedding.

Since Priyadharshani's parents were no more, two male and female military officers officiated as her parents.

Vavuniya rehabilitation coordinating officer Lt Col Ranjith Abeysinghe attested the marriage on behalf of the bride Priyadharshani.

Priyadharshani is expected to return to the rehabilitation camp after the couple's honeymoon since she has to complete the period of rehabilitation.
