3D Drafting and AutoCAD courses for ex-combatants in rehabilitation centers
The Bureau of Commissioner General of Rehabilitation has introduced 3D Drafting and AutoCAD courses to develop technical skill of ex-LTTE combatants who are being rehabilitated in rehabilitation centers in Vavuniya.
The newest program is introduced with the assistance of the Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industries of Sri Lanka (FCCISL), an official of the bureau said speaking to defence.lk. He further said that the newly introduced AutoCAD course mainly targeting female beneficiaries in Pampemadu and Poonthottam Rehabilitation centers.
"Sixty female ex-LTTE combatants are now following the course and they have higher job opportunities ones they completing the course successfully" Commissioner General of Rehabilitation Brigadier Sudantha Ranasinghe said.
Function was held to mark the commencement of the course at the Pampemadu rehabilitation center on 5th September. Commissioner General of Rehabilitation Brigadier Sudantha Ranasinghe, FCCISL General Secretary Dr. Thusitha Thennakoon, FCCISL President Kosala Wickramanayake and rehabilitation Coordinating officer in Vavuniya Lt.Col Gunasinghe participated at the event.
Bureau of Commissioner General of Rehabilitation, under the guidance of Secretary Defence Gotabaya Rajapaksa, Commissioner General Brigadier Sudantha Ranasinghe has introduced various programs not only to develop skills and technology of the ex-LTTE combatants but to grab them into the country's development drive.
