Army donates school uniforms and garments to resettled families

Army's 54 Division in Manthai West in Mannar District has donated school uniforms and garments to 125 resettled families in Kovilkulam village recently.
These families were resettled in April 2010, and so far, the Army has been helping the villagers to construct houses, clear abandoned lands for cultivation, clean wells, repair schools and hospitals destroyed by LTTE.
54 Div. Commander Brig. M Dias participated as the chief guest and gave away the donation among the villagers at the event.
542 Brigade Commander Colonel Anura Muhandiramge, Commanding Officer 4RFT SR and Civil affairs coordinator of 542 Brigade were also present at the occasion.
