Diplomatic Missions in SL briefed on rehabilitation activities
The Ministry of Defence today, (03 May) briefed Diplomatic Missions, United Nations and its specialized agencies accredited to Sri Lanka, on the actions /activities taken by the Defence Ministry to rehabilitate LTTE suspects.
Secretary Defence Mr. Gotabaya Rajapaksa chaired the briefing and explained a broad spectrum of activities being carried out to rehabilitate the LTTE suspect at rehabilitation centers.
Director General of Rehabilitation Brig. Sudantha Ranasinghe also delivered a presentation with regard to the rehabilitation activities.
Over 30 Diplomats including US, UK, Australia, Canada and representatives from UN, ICRC, WHO, IOM and many other UN agencies participated for the briefing.
