Protests in Milan over 'Darusman Report
www.defence.lk/">Thousands of Sri Lankans Monday( May 22), living in Milan and suburb areas gathered with many Italians and other foreigners, at a massive rally organized to protest against Darusman's report and the advisory panel appointed by Ban-Ki-Moon to destabilize the Sri Lankan government and the country's harmony.
The massive rally was moreover focused to grant blessings to all the members of Sri Lankan armed forces who've donated their lives to protect the country for many years from the LTTE terrorism. Furthermore, all the participants to the rally signed a petition against Darusman's Committee Report to be handed over to the Italian Defense Ministry and at UN European Office in Geneva.
For the occasion many Sri Lankans living in other cities were organized to reach Milan's Rally in order to support the cause. Moreover the aforementioned signed petition is due to be handed over to the Geneva UN office on 2nd June 2011.
Many Italians present at the rally stated that it's a due to protest when an independence of a country such as Sri Lanka is undermined.
