By Our Vavuniya Correspondent Former LTTE Women’s Wing Political Leader, Thamilini, appeared as a bridesmaid at the wedding of an ex-LTTE woman cadre at the Poonthotam Rehabilitation Centre in Vavuniya, recently. Thamilini, whose real name is Subramaniam Sivahami, hails from Paranthan, Kilonochchi, and had joined the LTTE in the year 1991. She had held the position of Political Head of the Women’s Wing of the LTTE since she was apprehended by military sleuths at the IDP camp in Vavuniya on 27 May 2009. She was interrogated by military officials and was later detained at the Welikada Prison. Following a Court order in Colombo on 26 June 2012, she was rehabilitated at the Poonthotam Rehabilitation Centre, where several other ex-LTTE cadres are being rehabilitated. Thamilini who was earlier seen attired in camouflage clothes is seen dressed in sari as a bridesmaid at the wedding.
