15,325 students sit for G.C.E. (A/L); 18,237 for Grade 5 Scholarship Exam in North
A total of 15,324 students from Jaffna, Kilinochchi, Mullaittivu, Mannar and Vavuniya sat for the G.C.E. (A/L) Examination 2010 commenced on9th August. The Examination is to be concluded on 3rd September.
The Department of Education has made arrangements to conduct the examination in 131 centres under 53 coordinating centres. Jaffna-I (Jaffna Zone), Jaffna-II (Valikamam Zone), Kilinochchi, Mullaittivu, Mannar and Vavuniya have been nominated as the Regional Collecting Centres, education department official said.
Meanwhile, 18,237 students will sit for the Grade 5 Scholarship Examination 2010 which to be held on 22 August. 196 Examination centers have been setup under 91 coordinating centres, education department official said.
