Clearing operations recover more LTTE weapons
Sri Lankan troops of 51 Division recovered 04 RPG bombs in general area Erlali and one hand grenade in general area Mulavi junction during their search operations yesterday (31 July).
Meanwhile the troops of 56 Division recovered 101 AP mines (P4 MK1) in general area Mahilankulam, 43 AP mines (RANGAN)99, 59 AP mines(RANGAN) 99 non electric, 27 AP mines (P4 MK 1) two RPG bombs and two AP mines in general area Navatkulam yesterday. OC troops -Wanni engaging the clearing operations in general area Parasankulam recovered 06 AP mines (P4 MK 1) and 06 AP mine fuses.
Meanwhile the troops of 61 Division operating in general area Periyapandivirichchan uncovered 46 AP mines, six 60mm mortar bombs(HE), one 81mm mortar bomb (HE) and 600 x 7.62 x 39mm Ammo and in Maruthamadu area they recovered 30 AP mines and one 81mm mortar bomb.
General area Mallawarayankaddaiadampan and Palampiddi troops recovered another 32 AP mines yesterday.
General area KK kulam in Area HQ Mannar troops recovered one K 400 H/G and one cyanide capsule.
Troops of 215 Brigade making their operations in general area Kollankulam and Narikkulam uncovered 16 AP mines and troops of 223 Brigade recovered 01 x ARGUS H/G in general area Kambiliwewa.
Separately the troops of 11 Division recovered 01 x 7.5 Kg claymore bomb in Galewela- Devahuwa area yesterday
