Indian Union Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs, V. Narayanasamy on Saturday sought immediate legal steps to curb activities of political groups that were supporting the banned LTTE in Tamil Nadu. The law enforcing machinery should intervene and initiate steps immediately to curb activities of outfits and political parties supporting the LTTE, he told Indian reporters without naming any outfit.
“All political parties should launch a joint fight against terrorism and terrorist outfits should never be allowed to gain roots anywhere in the country,” he said.
"President Mahinda Rajapaksa had assured to do the needful for rehabilitation of the Tamils when a delegation of MPs met him in Delhi during his recent visit", he said.
Referring to the incident of the blast on a railway track near Villupuram, he said the menace of such incidents was spreading to the South and utmost care was necessary to stem the rot, Out-Look India reported.Courtesy: Priu.gov.lk
